Apparently I am not that great of a blogger...So much has happened in our lives and so much is still stagnant. We have been living with Mike and Patti for over a year now. While we are very appreciative of their generosity, we are very ready to have our own place again. We are currently in the midst of our 4th house offer. Previous attempts didn't work out. Maybe this one is the charm. It is a very warm and inviting home and I am really excited about the prospect of living there. It was one that Nate and I both agreed on very quickly. That hasn't happened very often. :)
I am enjoying my job as a registered nurse with Providence Regional in Everett. The medical telemetry unit is more enjoyable that I thought it would be. I think the great team of people I work with on the night shift have something to do with that. We are like an odd little family. The shifts are long sometimes as I am doing 12 hour shifts. Not sure that I really like that particular aspect of my job. My coworkers think I'm crazy for wanting to work 8's as it would mean more days at work; but I see it as more time with Nate and the dogs. As it is now, if I work more than one day in a row, I don't see Nate at all during the time. He leaves for work before I get home and he doesn't get back before I head out for work. I miss having dinner with him. It's the small things, getting to share about your day, just cuddling together and being together.
Nate is enjoying his new job with Expedia and I'm sure we'll both enjoy the travel perks eventually. Right now though we are focusing on the home buying.
The dogs, they are doing alright. Brisbane grays more each day and he is having more trouble with his joints. He struggles to get up in the mornings and is so stiff. My poor old man. He does spend a lot of time upstairs with his new favorite person, AJ. I do wish that wasn't the case. I miss having my boy follow me around. Kali is getting older too. It seems like just yesterday she came to live with Nate at his condo. Her personality has grown so much since that first day. She loves playing with Mia and Nate is still her favorite human. She hates when he pays attention to me. Mia is still my outgoing adventurous girl who is still a big cuddle bunny. My baby will be 5 this year. How does that happen. She was such a wonderful gift from Nate. She has learned to play frisbee from Mike and Patti's dog Beckham. She loves it and is obsessed with it. Her energy level never ceases to amaze me.
Eventually I will need to finish posting pictures from our camping trip across the country and add some new ones from our time back home where we belong.
